Pursuing Healthy Decisions
Energy Bars – A Dental Danger
Energy bars are great for a healthy snack to help you through a busy day. However, while all the nutritious ingredients in these convenient, easy-to-carry bars are better than bingeing on sweets, there can be a hidden danger.
The hard consistency of some bars can cause dental problems. In fact, biting into some bars requires so much pressure that it can chip or crack a tooth or dental bridge. You can see by my picture, that’s what happened to me. When I went to the dentist, the dental assistant in the office told me that dental damage caused by energy bars is a fairly common occurrence at their practice.
So, before you bite into an energy bar, determine how hard it is with your hand. If the bar feels too hard to the touch, you may want to choose one with a softer consistency to safeguard your dental work.

How Mood Affects Your Life
We have all heard about the power of positive thinking, but can you stop the negative thoughts that affect your well-being? You don’t have to indulge in negative thinking when challenges arise. This is especially important because it affects those around us as well. That means they don’t have to feel the effects either.
Since our lives and actions also have an effect on our career, our ability to minimize tensions is the most effective form of self-improvement and can profoundly affect our professional and personal lives.
In my e-book, “How to Get Rid of Negative Thoughts, Enhance your Career and Improve your Health”, you’ll discover many ways to eliminate negative thoughts with the right self-talk.

Back Pain Management
It can happen reaching for a bar of soap that we dropped in the shower or bending over working in the garden – the sudden onset of back pain. Back pain is the leading cause of surgery in the United States each year. The pain can be chronic, or as the result of sudden trauma, such as a car accident. More and more often, people are turning to chiropractic doctors for treating chronic pain in the back and neck.
While most people think of back pain merely as dysfunction or strain of the spinal system, nutrition also plays a large role as well. Toxins in our body suppress the production of anti-inflammatory compounds, known as prostagladins. Regular exercise for maintaining strong and healthy muscles will also lessen some of the symptoms of back pain.
You can learn more about better ways to deal with back pain in an informative ebook I coauthored with chiropractor and nutritional specialist Dr. Jerome L. Greenberg. It’s called Back Pain Management, Fighting Inflammation and Finding Quality Supplements.
